Aerotek Electro-Mechanical Assembler in Minneapolis, Minnesota

Electro‑Mechanical Assembler – Precision Work, Clean Environment, Great Benefits

As an Electro‑Mechanical Assembler , you’ll work hands‑on with complex, multi‑layer printed circuit boards—building, soldering, and assembling components that power high‑performance technology. What You’ll Do

  • Solder components onto PCBs using both SMT and thru‑hole techniques

  • Perform mechanical assembly on multi‑layer boards

  • Rework boards on both the top and bottom, including lifting and turning units up to 50 lbs

  • Use a microscope for precision inspection and soldering tasks

  • Solder wires of specific gauges with accuracy and consistency

  • Work with boards that begin at 45–50 lbs and increase in weight as they progress through each stage

What You Bring

  • 1+ year of hands‑on soldering experience

  • Strong skills in SMT and thru‑hole soldering

  • Familiarity with IPC‑610/J standards (current or expired)

  • Ability to read wiring lists, visual aids, and assembly documentation

  • Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs

Bonus Skills

  • Vocational or technical program graduates are encouraged to apply

  • Experience with electromechanical assembly, crimping, or wiring

  • Ability to read and interpret blueprints

Work Environment

  • Extremely clean, well‑organized facility

  • Team of about 50 people

  • Each assembler has their own workbench with dedicated tools

  • 1st shift: 6:30 AM – 3:00 PM

  • 2nd shift: 2:45 PM – 11:15 PM

  • Training provided on 1st shift or a mid‑shift

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Minneapolis, MN.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00/hr.
