This role works within our student data team to design, develop, deploy and support reports and data warehouse solutions mainly in our Oracle Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition (OBIEE) and Oracle Analytics Cloud (OAC) environments. We support data modeling, architecting, ETL development, RPD development, and data analysis to advance our enterprise data warehouse. We will create and support data warehouse subject areas that support the user community in their reporting needs. Primary Responsibilities: Develop data warehouse subject areas. Support end users in the use of data warehouse and BI platform. Write and validate test scripts. Design, document, develop, and test reports. Maintain and support existing reports. Analyze and interpret data. Work with team members and stakeholders to understand business needs and business rules. Serve as an ASR developer and partner with the Office of Information Technology (OIT) on enterprise-wide Student projects. Academic Support Resources supports hybrid and flexible working arrangements. Work arrangements are determined in coordination with supervisors depending on the nature of the unit and position. The arrangement for this position will be determined upon hire between employee and supervisor. Functions Data Analysis and Reporting (70%) Design, build, test, document, deploy, and maintain operational and strategic reports. Support development of business intelligence solutions and underlying student data warehouse subject areas. Collaborate with stakeholders to understand business logic and ensure its accurate representation in data analysis. Analyze data to identify trends and develop data-driven stories that positively impact student success. Communicate data findings and insights to diverse stakeholders and provide strategic business recommendations. Create and maintain user documentation and training resources for BI solutions. Production and Operations Support (20%) Contribute to continuous improvements in the data and analytics strategy and processes. Engage the student data user community to promote the effective use of Student Data Analytics solutions. Ensure the availability and quality of data and reports to meet service expectations. Assist in the rapid resolution of production issues. Maintain and support existing reports. Professional Development (10%) Develop and maintain subject matter expertise in student data. Qualifications Required Qualifications BA/BS degree with two years of work experience or a master's degree. Understanding of relational databases and programming experience. Intermediate SQL proficiency. Experience working with complex data sets from multiple sources. Preferred Qualifications Ability to engage stakeholders in data analysis and interpretation in meaningful and effective ways. Advanced SQL proficiency, including Common Table Expressions (CTEs), window functions, query optimization, and indexing, with a focus on Data Warehousing principles. STAR data modeling experience Demonstrated ability to translate technical data findings into actionable insights for non-technical stakeholders.
