DESCRIPTION
Manage the planning and execution of the preventive, predictive, and condition-based maintenance of production equipment. Develop performance standards and formulate staff development plans. Champion and model proactive health and safety behaviors by identifying, reporting and participating in actions to improve health and safety in order to build an interdependent culture and contribute to an injury-free workplace. Participate in equipment and capital procurement to select manufacturing equipment which meets the Cummins manufacturing specifications and meets the project or program needs. Interpret machine and tool maintenance records and data to develop and execute preventive and predictive management strategies to drive continuous improvement within the manufacturing process. Apply manufacturing prognostics techniques by collecting real time equipment conditions and then use advanced analytics and AI technologies to project future failures to eliminate unplanned equipment and systems down time. Accountable for spare parts and indirect materials inventory. Lead project teams within the maintenance organization. Establish and manage a balance of scope, schedule and resources for a project and ensure results are fully realized.
RESPONSIBILITIES
Positions require a Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field (employer will accept any suitable combination of education, training or experience equivalent to a U.S. Bachelor’s degree in Industrial or Manufacturing Engineering, or related field) and 5 yrs relevant experience and 5 years of experience as a Maintenance or Service Supervisor or Engineer, or related position. Experience to include: Staff development plans; Model health and safety behaviors; Equipment and capital procurement; Manufacturing equipment specifications; Preventive and predictive management strategies; Manufacturing continuous improvement; Manufacturing prognostics techniques; Indirect materials inventory; Scope, schedule, resource and project management.
