JOB REQUIREMENTS: The Team Lead is responsible for all aspects of the manufacturing within assigned area of manufacturing, including direction of team personnel, coordination of production schedule, attainment of throughput and quality objectives and overseeing a safe, efficient, and productive operation. The Team Lead will communicate effectively, provide clear direction, and set the desired behavioral example while facilitating efficient production and on-time delivery of Sielaff Corporation products. Responsibilities Provide leadership, direction, and development of team personnel. Build respectful working relationships, earn trust, and provide clear, consistent direction. Coordinate production scheduling and workflow to ensure attainment of throughput and delivery objectives. Identify production issues and implement practical solutions to maintain efficiency. Lead and support all 2nd shift production employees while setting the standard for performance, accountability, team engagement, and reinforce company expectations. Perform fabrication, welding, and/or CNC machining work as needed to support production demands. Verify proper machine setups, tooling, fixturing, and troubleshoot, adjust equipment to maintain consistent production flow. Read and interpret blueprints, job travelers, and technical drawings accurately. Ensure quality standards are consistently met; conduct in-process inspections as required. Address concerns promptly and escalate recurring issues appropriately. Train, mentor, and cross-train team members on processes, equipment, safety, and quality standards. Enforce safe work practices and safe operating procedures at all times. Communicate shift updates, production status, equipment issues, and performance concerns to the Production Supervisor. Identify and execute continuous improvement initiatives to optimize manufacturing efficiency and reduce waste. Adhere to and promote Sielaff Corporation Values and Standards of Conduct. Qualifications 35+ years of experience in fabrication, welding, CNC machining, or a related manufacturing role Strong understanding of production processes and shop floor operations Experience with CNC setup and programming preferred Ability to read blueprints and technical drawings Prior leadership or lead experience preferred Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail Ability to accurately use a micrometer and calipers Ability to understand and follow verbal and written instructions Ability to work independently and make critical thinking decisions Technical or Associates Degree in machining/related field or programming field highly desired Highly organized; systems- and process-focused Ability to multi-task and move multiple projects forward simultaneously Physical Requirements of the Job Physical requirements of the job are classified as light to medium. Physical demand requirements are more than light work.
