Cummins Inc. Logistics Specialist in Minato-Ku, Japan

To plan and maintain daily operations in one or more logistics functions (such as transportation and warehousing) Ensures internal and external customers' expectations and requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop planning system strategies to improve signals to the supply chain Monitor and adjust parameters in the planning system. Use common processes tools, and information systems.

  • Analyze and interpret Key Performance Indicators to identify areas for improvement and action plans.

  • Execute the daily operational logistics processes.

  • Identify potential supply chain failures and mitigate associated risks .

  • Work closely with stakeholders - internal and/or external to develop short term tactical improvements.

  • Use the logistics system to drive consistent planning signals across the supply chain Participate in functional process improvement teams

Qualifications

Support Korean PG business as well as Japan PG/engine business in Logistics areas.

  • Project Management - Establishes and maintains the balance of scope, schedule and resources for a temporary effort (a “project”). Ensures results/impact from temporary effort are fully realized as possible.

  • Supply Chain Knowledge - Influences, with the ability to concisely explain and/or elaborate on, the multi-disciplined and end-to-end integration of the flow of information, products, and services to achieve the desired result for the end customer within the first-fit or aftermarket business segments while balancing the tensions of inventory, cost, and delivery.

Education, Licenses, Certifications:

  • Demonstrated role competence is required. College, university, or equivalent Bachelor's degree in applicable field is preferred.

  • This position may require licensing for compliance with export controls or sanctions regulations.

Experience:

  • At least one internship or equivalent work experience in a logistics or other appropriate supply chain role
