Role Overview
As part of the Global Security Sales Organization (GSSO), you will support the growth of Cisco Security solutions and services within the Japan Public Sector segment. This is an early-career sales role designed for individuals who are looking to develop their expertise in cybersecurity and enterprise B2B sales while working alongside experienced sales and technical teams.
You will partner with account managers and senior specialists to identify opportunities, engage customers, and support sales activities throughout the sales cycle.
Role & Responsibilities
Support account sales teams in identifying and developing Cisco Security opportunities within existing and new public sector customers
Participate in customer meetings and assist in positioning Cisco Security solutions with guidance from senior team members
Help manage sales activities including opportunity tracking, pipeline updates, and internal coordination
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including partners, technical specialists, and marketing to support deal progression
Develop foundational knowledge of cybersecurity concepts, Cisco solutions, and the competitive landscape
Assist in preparing proposals, presentations, and customer materials
Maintain accurate forecasting data and sales activity reporting
Build relationships with customers and partners while developing consultative selling skills
Minimum Qualifications
2–3 years of B2B sales experience in the IT industry
Experience interacting with customers in a professional business environment
Strong communication skills with professional English ability (spoken and written)
Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment
Willingness to learn cybersecurity technologies and enterprise sales processes
Self-motivated with a proactive attitude toward achieving goals
Preferred Qualifications
Exposure to enterprise IT solutions or technology sales
Interest in cybersecurity or cloud technologies
Experience working with internal stakeholders or partners
Basic understanding of sales pipeline management tools (e.g., CRM)
