JOB REQUIREMENTS: Dematic is hiring a Simulation Engineer for one of our hubs-Grand Rapids (MI), Atlanta (GA), Plano (TX), or Milwaukee (WI)-offering a hybrid schedule blending on-site collaboration and remote work. This role involves building and evaluating simulation models that contribute to the invention of automated and material-handling systems before they are implemented. You\'ll convert data into relevant insights, support project and customer decisions, and assist in delivering solutions that improve both performance and reliability. The base pay range for this role is estimated to be \$65,000 - \$140,000 at the time of posting. Final compensation will be determined by various factors such as work location, education, experience, knowledge, and skills. Tasks and Qualifications:What You Will Do in This Role: Develop discrete-event simulation models to evaluate the performance of material-handling and automated systems. Support pre-sales and delivery activities by crafting low- to high-fidelity simulation models and conducting performance analysis. Collaborate with engineering, sales, project management, and other partners to define requirements, scope, and timelines. Collect, validate, and analyze data while detailing model assumptions and functional specifications. Configure, complete, and lead simulation scenarios, experiments, and statistical runs. Interpret simulation outputs and clearly communicate results to internal teams and customers. Contribute to customer-facing presentations and technical reviews to support solution recommendations. Deliver assigned tasks on schedule, meeting quality and budget expectations. Explain technical concepts in a clear and accessible way for both technical and non-technical audiences.
