ManpowerGroup Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Manager in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
Senior Quality Engineer / Quality Manager
If you’ve built your career in precision machining and/or high-spec manufacturing and you’re the one people call when quality issues hit production, this is worth a look.
This isn’t a sit-behind-the-desk quality role. This is hands-on, high-impact work inside a growing, high-performance CNC machining operation supporting complex, tight-tolerance components.
Why this role matters:
The business is growing. Production is increasing. The quality team has been rebuilt, but it’s junior-heavy.
They need someone who can step in and:
Own problems
Support the floor
Bring structure and consistency to quality processes
This role can flex between Senior Quality Engineer and Quality Manager depending on the person.
What you’ll actually do:
Lead and support quality planning for CNC machining operations
Own FAIs (AS9102), CAPAs, and root cause investigations
Develop and improve control plans, PFMEAs, and inspection strategies
Work directly on the shop floor to resolve real production issues
Drive continuous improvement (scrap reduction, process stability, efficiency)
Partner with engineering, production, and leadership to keep things moving
What you need to bring:
Strong background in CNC machining environments (milling, turning, multi-axis)
Experience in AS9100 / aerospace quality systems
Hands-on experience with:
FAI / AS9102
Root cause (8D, 5 Whys, etc.)
SPC, MSA, and data-driven decision making
Ability to read and apply GD&T (ASME Y14.5)
Comfortable being on the floor—not just behind a desk
What separates strong candidates:
You’ve worked in tight tolerance, complex part environments
You can bridge quality + manufacturing, not just one or the other
You’re someone who steps in and fixes problems, not just documents them
Environment:
150-person manufacturing team
High expectations, fast-paced
Clean, organized facility
Team-oriented, traditional culture
Compensation & Benefits:
Base salary typically in the $90K–$120K range
Quarterly gainsharing program (profit-based, 8–10%)
Full benefits package (medical, dental, vision)
401(k) with company contribution
PTO (flexible for senior hires)
Bottom line:
This is a role for someone who wants to make an impact, not just maintain a system.
If you’ve been in machining environments and know how to drive quality where it matters, on the floor, this is the kind of opportunity that doesn’t come around often.
If this is a role that interests you and you’d like to learn more, click apply now and a recruiter will be in touch with you to discuss this great opportunity. We look forward to speaking with you!
