We are seeking a dedicated Quality Technician to join our team.

In this vital role, you will be responsible for performing inspections, including operating Coordinate Measuring Machines and conducting First Article Inspections for complex parts. This role supports quality process by compiling dimensional results, assisting with updates to quality documentation, managing calibration records, and participating in Material Review Board activities and root cause analysis for non-conformances.

Shift Available: First Shift 6:00am-2:30pm (flexible)


Key Responsibilities:

  • Operate portable Coordinate Measuring Machine (CMM; e.g., Romer Arm) or optical comparators for more complex receiving inspections.

  • Conduct First Article Inspections (FAI) on moderate-to-high complexity parts

  • Perform final inspections on a broader range of products. Prepare or review final inspection checklists for quality technician 3 or quality supervisor approval

  • Compile Dimensional Results; conduct Measurement Systems Analysis (MSA) activities (e.g., basic Gage Repeatability and Reproducibility).

  • Assist with updates to Process Flow Diagrams, Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA), Control Plans under guidance.

  • Collect data for Initial Process Studies (capability analysis) with engineering or Tech III support.

  • Track tools and gauges assigned to receiving/final inspection; ensure they are within calibration dates. Assist in scheduling or coordinating internal/external calibrations, updating calibration records in the QMS. Verify calibration certificates for incoming new or repaired equipment.

  • Participate in (Material Review Board) MRB for purchased or in-process components, presenting dimensional data or inspection history and coordinate rework or return-to-vendor activities as determined by MRB dispositions.

  • Investigate and support root-cause analysis for inspection-related non-conformances.

  • Provide real-time quality support to production, including disposition guidance and inspection clarification


Qualifications

Education:

  • High school diploma or equivalent required.

Experience and Training:

  • At least 2+ years in a quality role, preferred sheet metal experience

  • Blueprint reading required

  • Use of measurement tools required

  • Intermediate-level Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing (GD&T).

  • Basic Quality Assurance certifications preferred

  • Romer Arm experience preferred


Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Regularly required to read, write, measure, and use comprehension and reasoning

  • Must be able to measure, read blueprints, interpret GD&T

  • Specific abilities include close vision for inspection
