Duties include: Select suppliers and negotiate terms to obtain materials and production in a timely manner. Purchasing of raw materials and finished goods. Solicits promotions, discounts, and markdowns from suppliers. Incorporate quality requirements into purchase orders to maintain high level quality standards. Evaluate supplier performance and provide feedback. Monitor commodity pricing for raw material purchases. Identity and resolve problems with suppliers in a timely manner by gathering and analyzing information. Provide assistance and training of SYSPRO software. Assisting other departments with various duties as assigned Requirements: Note: Previous experience working in purchasing/an office setting is NOT required, but will be taken into consideration. Good communication skills, high energy and a focused, positive attitude are highly desirable Strong listening, analytical and problem solving skills, adaptability, attention to detail and a willingness to learn are also beneficial.
