JOB REQUIREMENTS: Position Summary We\'re seeking a detail-oriented OD Grinder Machinist with at least 5 years of experience to join our 1st shift team. This role focuses on operating cylindrical grinders to finish gear shafts and other round components to exacting specifications. The ideal candidate is a seasoned machinist with a strong understanding of grinding principles and a commitment to quality. Key Responsibilities Set up and operate OD cylindrical grinders, Manual, and CNC to finish gear-related components Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and gear specifications (AGMA standards preferred) Select appropriate grinding wheels, dress tools, and set feeds/speeds for optimal finish Perform precision measurements using micrometers, bore gauges, and dial indicators Monitor surface finish, roundness, and concentricity to ensure tight tolerances Troubleshoot grinding issues and collaborate with quality and engineering teams Maintain equipment and follow safety and cleanliness protocols Qualifications Minimum 5 years of experience operating OD grinders in a manufacturing setting Strong understanding of gear component geometry and grinding techniques Ability to read and interpret complex technical drawings and GD&T Experience with manual and CNC-controlled grinding machines (e.g., Landis, Kellenberger, or similar) Familiarity with inspection tools and surface finish requirements High school diploma or equivalent; technical certification preferred Shift 1st Shift 6AM -2PM Benefits Medical, Dental, Vision and Prescription Drug Coverage Spending accounts (HSA, Health Care FSA and Dependent Care FSA) Paid Time Off and Holidays 401k Retirement Plan with Matching Employer Contributions Life and Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) Insurance Paid Leaves Tuition AssistanceAbout Regal Rexnord Regal Rexnord is a publicly held global industrial manufacturer with 30,000 associates around the world who help create a better tomorrow by providing sustainable solutions that power, transmit and control motion.
