Brady Corporation Material Handler Night Shift - Plus $2.00 Shift Premium in Milwaukee, Wisconsin
What We Need:
This role is responsible for safely and efficiently moving materials to support both internal and external customer orders, utilizing a forklift and other warehouse equipment. This is a 12-hour night shift position with primary hours of 5:50 p.m. to 6:00 a.m.
What You'll Be Doing:
Perform all duties necessary in delivering material and packaging supplies to production teams
Be licensed to operate and maintain a forklift truck and be able to operate a semi-automatic pallet mover.
Maintain inventory of supply items, raw, semi, and potentially finished goods material.
Perform cycle count activity as directed by group leader.
Perform material deliveries to production areas using stock chaser vehicle
Maintain inventory accuracy to department goals
Responsible for all activities required in maintaining raw material inventory; this includes electronic and manual receipting of material, withdrawing material and timely deliver
Audit material variances and implement corrective action by identifying faulty levels of quantity, the causes, and action to be taken to resolve the problem.
Perform the necessary functions to account for raw material that is returned to warehouse
Complete paperwork for reordering supplies and schedule work flow in Raw Material Warehouse.
Process custom and stock materials and delivers to production work centers.
Ensure the recording of production information within the SAP system.
Organization of assigned warehouse and material locations
Perform routine preventive maintenance following established procedures.
Participate in team and committee meetings.
Comply with all company safety and operating procedures.
Performs other tasks as assigned. Responsibilities include, but are not necessarily limited to, the duties listed on this job description.
What You Will Need To Be Successful:
High School Diploma or Equivalent is required.
Minimum of 6 months of experience operating a stand-up forklift
Ability to lift/carry 70 lbs
Ability to push/pull 100 lbs
Ability to climb 14 inches; 20 ladder rungs; frequent standing and walking
Ability to obtain lift truck certification, will train if necessary
Ability to work independently and within a team environment
Ability to be flexible, if needed to assist other shifts to achieve necessary material delivery schedules
Ability to use computer software to accomplish detail-oriented work
Ability to troubleshoot and communicate process issues
Effective verbal and written communication skills
Ability to maintain standards of production, both in quantity and quality.
Willingness and ability to be cross-trained on other machines and in other departments
Ability to follow standard work.
