FTE: 1.000000 Standard Hours: 40.00 Shift: Shift 1 Job Summary: The Manager Quality and Regulatory manages the regulatory and accreditation activities for the organization, including assuring compliance with national, state, and local external agency requirements and ongoing survey readiness; and helps manage hospital-wide quality assessment and performance activities. EXPERIENCE DESCRIPTION: Five (5) or more years of related work experience, including quality and regulatory/accreditation experience, in a hospital setting is required. Formal or informal experience leading people or teams to achieve an objective or goal is required. EDUCATION DESCRIPTION: Bachelor\'s degree or equivalent experience and training, required; preferably in healthcare. Master\'s degree in a healthcare or related business field is preferred. TRAINING DESCRIPTION: In-depth knowledge of regulations impacting healthcare and the ability to interpret relevant regulations. SPECIAL SKILLS DESCRIPTION: Advanced understanding of clinical or operational processes, workflow, and clinical terminologies. Proven ability to direct the activities of project personnel toward successful execution of the assigned programs. Knowledge of requirements for healthcare organizations from agencies such as The Joint Commission (TJC), Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (CMS), DNV, and other regulatory groups. Excellent verbal and written communication skills. Presentation skills. Able to facilitate meetings. Interpersonal skills to collaborate with leaders/departments to develop, monitor, and maintain improvement strategies for compliance with established standards. Organizational skills to handle multiple projects. PC proficiency to include Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
