JOB REQUIREMENTS: Job Summary: We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Gear Cutter A to join our precision machining team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for setting up and operating gear cutting machines to produce high-quality gears according to engineering specifications and production schedules. Key Responsibilities: Set up and operate gear cutting machines such as hobbing, shaping, and broaching machines. Interpret blueprints, engineering drawings, and work orders to determine gear specifications. Inspect finished gears using precision measuring tools to ensure compliance with tolerances. Perform routine maintenance on machines and tools to ensure optimal performance. Collaborate with engineering and quality teams to resolve production issues. Maintain a clean and safe work environment in accordance with company policies. Qualifications: High school diploma or equivalent; technical training or apprenticeship preferred. Minimum 2 years of experience in gear cutting or precision machining. Proficiency in reading blueprints and using measuring instruments (micrometers, calipers, etc.). Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality. Ability to work independently and as part of a team. Preferred Skills: Experience with CNC gear cutting equipment. Knowledge of gear types (spur, helical, bevel, etc.) and cutting techniques.
