Job Summary The Legal Operations Lead will have responsibility in the following primary areas: (i) legal technology and systems, (ii) process improvement, (iii) knowledge and matter management systems, (iv) vendor and financial management, and (v) metrics and reporting for the Legal Department. The individual in this role must have excellent time management, project management, and communication skills to ensure the individual is able to effectively manage competing priorities and can drive complex projects involving stakeholders from all levels to completion. The ideal candidate will have: (i) extensive experience with legal billing and legal case management software, (ii) experience leading RFPs, negotiating fee arrangements, and monitoring vendor performance, (iii) expertise with defining and tracking key performance indications (KPIs) for legal operations. Job Responsibilities Legal Technology & Systems Evaluate, implement, and manage legal tech tools (e.g., e-billing, matter management, contract lifecycle management). Lead system integrations and ensure user adoption across the legal team. Maintain data integrity and reporting capabilities. Process Improvement & Project Management Identify and implement process improvements to streamline legal operations. Lead cross-functional projects and change management initiatives. Develop and enforce best practices and standard operating procedures. Knowledge and Matter Management Oversee knowledge management systems to ensure effective information sharing. Develop strategies for capturing institutional knowledge and legal precedents. Support matter intake and tracking processes.
