TRAVAUX/HOUSING AUTHORITY OF MILW Human Resource Generalist in MILWAUKEE, Wisconsin

JOB REQUIREMENTS: CLASS SUMMARY: This position is responsible for coordinating a broad range of human resource functions. Responsibilities may include administering benefits; performing tasks related to recruitment and onboarding; and ensuring compliance with laws and regulations. TYPICAL CLASS ESSENTIAL DUTIES: (These duties are a representative sample; position assignments may vary.) 1. Researching, analyzing, and administering healthcare plans, from medical and dental benefits to disability and family leave. Advising employees, answering questions, and enrolling staff in benefit and compensation programs. 2. Assist in talent acquisition and recruitment processes; Conduct employee onboarding; Generating official internal documents such as offer letters, appointment letters. 3. Provide support to employees in various HR-related topics such as leaves and compensation and resolve any issues that may arise. 4. Maintain employee files and records in electronic and paper form. 5. Develops human resources solutions by collecting and analyzing information and recommends courses of action. 6. Serve as the HR payroll liaison in conjunction with the Payroll department. 7. Assist Senior HR Generalist with payment of bills associated with benefit administration. 8. Ensure smooth communication with employees and timely resolution to their queries processing various paperwork, especially regarding disability, FMLA absences, and employee life status changes 9. Other duties as assigned TRAINING AND EXPERIENCE (positions in this class typically require): Bachelors degree in Human Resources or related field; 5-7 years of related experience; or, an equivalent combination of education and experience sufficient to successfully perform the essential duties of the job such as those listed above.
