Closing Date: March 29, 2026 or upon the receipt of the first 50 application submissions Milwaukee County Department of Transportation Highway Maintenance Worker II - Regular Assignment - Full Time Hourly Pay Rate: \$23.92 - \$35.88 Job Summary: Under the Supervision of the Highway Management/Supervisory staff, the primary role of Highway Maintenance Worker 2 is to perform unskilled or semi-skilled construction related labor in highway maintenance division on State, County and Interstate Highways. Job Duties: Equipment Operation and Road Maintenance - To operate various forms of construction equipment including but not limited to, dual axle and tandem axle dump trucks, milling machines, front end loaders, vac-alls, roller compactor, anti-icing units, sewer jetter, tar kettle, various mower sand bucket trucks. To check lights, fluids and overall vehicle condition; to wash vehicles; to maintain flail mowers, vac-alls, tar kettles, arrow boards, road work signs, and hand tools.
