Actalent Field Service Technician in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Title: Field Service TechnicianJob Description

This role involves daily travel to customer sites, with an average of 1-2 hours of travel each way. Once acclimated, expect to travel overnight about 50% of the time, including potential out-of-state trips by plane. Some weekend work and overtime may be required. Successful candidates will be mechanically minded problem-solvers who enjoy hands-on work, have strong communication skills, and can confidently interact with customers. Reliability, accountability, and the ability to work independently are essential, as is a willingness to adapt and learn. Technicians should be comfortable using technology and committed to precision, safety, and regulatory compliance.

Responsibilities

  • Travel to various customer sites daily, potentially including overnight and out-of-state trips.

  • Diagnose and resolve mechanical and electrical issues.

  • Conduct clean room certifications for compounding pharmacies, hospital operating rooms, and pharmaceutical manufacturers.

  • Perform tasks such as scanning HEPA filters, conducting particle counts, and measuring pressure, temperature, and humidity.

  • Document findings and customer interactions in Excel reports.

  • Perform preventative maintenance, repairs, and troubleshooting as needed.

  • Maintain customer relationships and ensure excellent service delivery.

Essential Skills

  • Mechanical aptitude and problem-solving skills.

  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel extensively.

  • Proficiency in using service software, tablets, and measurement instruments.

  • Ability to troubleshoot mechanical and electrical systems.

  • Strong communication and presentation skills.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Degree from a 2-year technical college or a 4-year program is preferred but not required.

  • Basic math skills.

  • Electro-mechanical skills and technical aptitude.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with various professionals, including pharmacists and biomedical engineers.

Work Environment

The role requires travel to customer sites, including clean rooms, fume hoods, biosafety cabinets, medical HVAC systems, laminar flows, and autoclaves. Technicians will need to maintain a professional appearance and work independently in diverse and dynamic environments. Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $52000.00 - $62400.00/yr.
