Actalent Controls Engineer in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Job Title: Project Controls Engineer

Responsibilities

  • Perform machine function testing to ensure control panel components, field devices, and wiring comply with design specifications and meet UL508A, UL698A, and NEC requirements.

  • Develop, modify, and optimize PLC, HMI, and VFD programs to support the operation of industrial and process equipment.

  • Integrate control system hardware and software, including PLCs, HMIs, VFDs, sensors, safety devices, and relays, into new and retrofit machinery builds.

  • Troubleshoot electrical circuits, control systems, and drives during machine checkout, startup, and field service, working with 480/120/24V systems.

  • Provide remote technical support for electrical and control system troubleshooting via phone, email, and remote connections.

  • Prepare and maintain project documentation such as electrical drawings, controller tag lists, process narratives, and control operational documents.

  • Perform drawing updates using Solidworks and AutoCAD.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Milwaukee, WI.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $42.00/hr.
