Actalent Construction Project Manager in Milwaukee, Wisconsin

Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Construction Project Manager to lead commercial construction projects throughout the Milwaukee area. This role is responsible for managing projects from preconstruction through closeout, ensuring they are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and to the highest quality standards. The ideal candidate has strong leadership skills, a collaborative mindset, and a proven background managing commercial projects for a general contractor.

Key Responsibilities

  • Manage all phases of commercial construction projects, including preconstruction, budgeting, scheduling, execution, and closeout

  • Serve as the primary point of contact for owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors

  • Develop and maintain project schedules, budgets, and cost forecasts

  • Review and administer contracts, subcontracts, change orders, RFIs, and submittals

  • Coordinate with superintendents to ensure field operations align with project plans

  • Monitor project progress and proactively identify and resolve issues impacting schedule, cost, or quality

  • Lead project meetings and provide regular updates to internal teams and clients

  • Ensure compliance with safety programs, company policies, and local/state regulations

  • Oversee project documentation, including pay applications, progress reports, and closeout materials

  • Support preconstruction efforts such as estimating, value engineering, and constructability reviews as needed

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)

  • 5+ years of experience managing commercial construction projects for a general contractor

  • Proven experience delivering projects on time and within budget

  • Strong knowledge of construction means and methods, contracts, and project controls

  • Proficiency with construction management software (e.g., Procore, MS Project, Primavera, or similar)

  • Excellent communication, organization, and leadership skills

  • Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities in a fast-paced environment

  • Familiarity with Wisconsin building codes and local subcontractor markets preferred

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $85000.00 - $120000.00/hr.
