About the role The CDL Driver II will perform duties associated with transporting hazardous and nonhazardous waste between Reworld facilities and client sites. Drivers will operate manual transmission equipment only, specifically walking floor trailers and tankers. Routes primarily run Milwaukee-Indianapolis, and Lacrosse, WI, with drivers traveling through Chicago on a routine basis. Primary Responsibilities Drive commercial vehicles to safely transport hazardous and nonhazardous materials over regional and longhaul routes in compliance with DOT regulations while meeting scheduled appointments. Operate specialized equipment (walking floor trailers and tankers) to load, unload, or disperse cargo or materials. Perform thorough pre and posttrip inspections of vehicles and equipment. Additional Responsibilities Complete administrative tasks and paperwork related to transportation of hazardous/nonhazardous materials and vehicle/equipment maintenance (manifests, bills of lading, medical waste tracking, logs, delivery receipts, vehicle inspections, incident reports, etc.).
