JOB REQUIREMENTS: Scope of Role We are seeking a Global Category Manager Expert - Machined Components to lead the global category for Machined and Bearing components across our worldwide supply base. This highimpact role partners with engineering, operations, and regional sourcing teams to unlock cost savings, improve supplier performance, and ensure longterm supply chain reliability. You will lead global sourcing strategies, negotiate complex machining contracts, develop suppliers in lowcost regions, and build category frameworks that support scalability and sustainability. From cost modeling to problemsolving sessions with plant teams, this role sits at the intersection of technical expertise, strategic leadership, and global supplier partnership. Responsibilities Plans, organizes, directs, and communicates all strategic sourcing activities for assigned commodities and services, collaborating closely with crossfunctional partners in supply chain, engineering, technical support, and operations. Conducts brainstorming and problemsolving sessions at facilities with crossfunctional groups to identify strategic opportunities and prioritize deployment of costsaving initiatives. Provides oversight, guidance, and direction to sourcing and project managers to ensure effective deployment of strategic projects with both internal and external stakeholders. Collaborates with global and regional supply teams to identify, assess, and qualify strategic suppliers that align with category and business objectives. Partners with global facilities to build regional and global material costsavings funnels aligned with corporate strategies and financial targets. Leads comprehensive spend analysis, developing countermeasures for projects that fall short of plan and making datadriven decisions to resolve issues and ensure teams meet or exceed financial targets. Develop and deliver category strategies that advance strategic sourcing initiatives, drive yearoveryear cost savings, and support longterm value creation. Proactively evaluates internal and external process improvement opportunities, leading and influencing meaningful changes to drive innovation and continuous improvement. Partners with Regal Rexnord business segments to prepare Requests for Proposals (RFPs) and oversees the screening and supplier selection process.
