Insight Global Production Planner (Texas) in Milpitas, California

Job Description

A manufacturing client is seeking a Production Planner to join their team! In this role, the Production Planner will create and manage production schedules aligned with customer demand, inventory levels, and capacity constraints while coordinating closely with contract manufacturing partners. They will collaborate cross-functionally with procurement, supply chain, production, sales, and logistics teams to ensure material availability, address demand fluctuations, and proactively resolve scheduling conflicts or risks. The role also involves monitoring production KPIs, identifying bottlenecks, and developing contingency plans to mitigate supply chain or capacity disruptions.

Skills and Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Operations Management, Industrial Engineering, or a related field

Proven experience as a Production Planner or in a similar role within a manufacturing environment

Strong analytical and problem-solving skills

Experience creating and maintaining production schedules aligned to demand and inventory

Proficiency with ERP and production planning systems

Excellent organizational, communication, and multitasking abilities Experience working with contract or vendor-based manufacturing partners

Knowledge of lean manufacturing principles

Exposure to continuous improvement methodologies

Experience managing KPIs related to production efficiency, inventory turnover, and on-time delivery
