Xylem Process Operator in Milpitas, California

Responsibilities and Tasks:
Operate and monitor equipment specific to assigned area:
CARBON: Bag products, manage spent carbon feed to reactivation furnace, switch tank feeds, calibrate pH probes, operate filter press, and run facility wastewater treatment plant.
REGEN: Sort bottles by size and resin, operate forklift, evacuate bottles, generate resin batches, and process SDI products from start to finish.
Check on equipment throughout the shift to ensure equipment is working properly
Loads and unloads deliveries to and from regional branches
Operate computer to enter necessary documentation
Able to troubleshoot and perform minor repairs on equipment
Contributes to division results and performance
Take care of internal and external customer needs and expectations
Follows all policies and guidelines regarding workplace safety and product quality
Read and follow documented processes
Hourly $24.75
Position Requirements :
High School Diploma or equivalent
Minimum two years of experience in an industrial setting
Knowledge of chemicals used in specific process
Must complete site specific safety training and operator training
Ability to communicate clearly to team members
Familiarity with MS Office suites
Preferred: some manufacturing/plant experience
Preferred: forklift driving
Site specific requirements:CARBON: Be able to complete 40-hour hazardous waste operations training
