Join a leading organization in optical networking technologies as a Hardware Design Engineer. We are at the forefront of delivering high-performance wavelength management solutions, focusing on innovation and manufacturing automation. Based in Fremont, CA, you will be part of a team developing next-generation optical modules for AI and 5G networks, serving global telecom and datacom customers.
Responsibilities
Design, review, and enhance architectures for optical amplifiers, CPU system controllers, line cards, backplanes, modules, and subsystems.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, cost-effective, and robust products.
Own product development from concept through testing, debugging, verification, and volume production.
Recommend and implement innovative solutions to meet customer performance, cost, schedule, and quality requirements.
Select components, generate schematic designs, and provide PCB layout guidance.
Perform high-speed signal integrity and circuit simulations using tools such as HFSS and ADS.
Conduct board testing, debugging, and system validation, including experiments to characterize and validate components and subsystems.
Document design methodologies, test procedures, and experimental results.
Develop DVT, manufacturing, assembly, diagnostic, test, and qualification plans.
Support customer technical issues in collaboration with applications, quality, and technical support teams.
Partner with global engineering teams on new product development initiatives.
Essential Skills
Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering.
Minimum of 3 years of electrical engineering experience in telecom, datacom, or related industries.
Proficiency with electronic design and simulation tools.
Strong experience in high-speed board design and signal integrity.
Knowledge of high-speed digital transmission systems.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering for advanced consideration.
5–7 years of hardware design experience for senior-level consideration.
Experience with optical electronics and optical networking systems.
Expertise in designing for ESD, EMI, immunity, and regulatory compliance standards.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $130000.00 - $225000.00/yr.
