Job Title: ISG Technician Job Description
We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance and Technical Support Technician to join our team. You will apply your skills and knowledge in various teams with opportunities for cross-training. Experienced candidates will be entrusted with managing project responsibilities and mentoring fellow technicians. The role involves working in the Emissions Lab and the Milford Proving Grounds, focusing on troubleshooting test cell systems, equipment calibration, and preventative maintenance to enhance efficiency and drive continuous improvement.
Responsibilities
Troubleshoot and repair test cell facility components, including drive systems, fuel systems, dynamometers, pumps, heaters, and heat exchangers.
Collect motor vibration data and replace filters.
Install and calibrate cell transducers and troubleshoot harness and wiring issues.
Fabricate and wire specialty equipment, such as fluid conditioning systems and specialty brackets, with or without drawings.
Install, calibrate, set up, and troubleshoot exhaust gas emission measurement equipment.
Perform preventive and predictive maintenance on AVL equipment.
Essential Skills
Electrical and mechanical troubleshooting skills.
Experience in repair and maintenance, instrumentation, and calibration.
3-5+ years of electrical and/or mechanical hands-on maintenance experience.
Broad troubleshooting skills, welding, fabrication, and emissions testing.
High School Diploma.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in emissions testing, equipment maintenance, or equipment calibration.
Ability to work on 480VAC and 1000VDC systems with risk reduction techniques.
Strong problem-solving abilities and critical thinking.
Ability to read, understand, and follow procedures and regulations.
Experience with Horiba and AVL equipment is a plus.
An Associate's Degree and calibration or metrology experience is desirable.

Work Environment
The role is based in the Milford Proving Ground Emissions Lab, supporting emission testing operations. The facility is a clean, climate-controlled, lab-oriented space. Work shifts are available on multiple schedules with flexibility to accommodate individual availability. The maintenance team supports 24/7 test operations with a rotation every third weekend. The facility offers a collaborative environment where you will work with team leads and fellow technicians, either in pairs or individually.

This is a Contract position based out of Milford, MI.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $23.00 - $29.00/hr.
