Role Overview:

The Health & Safety Advisor – Med and CEE OU is responsible for supporting the coordination and execution of health, safety, and environmental (HSE) activities across veterinary clinics and hospitals, ensuring alignment with regulations and internal standards.

The role focuses on partnering with the RSPP and internal stakeholders to manage HSE documentation, track initiatives, and support the implementation of actionable health and safety plans.

Additionally, the Advisor contributes to promoting associate physical and psychological wellbeing through proactive support, compliance monitoring, and coordination of training and awareness activities. This enables a safe, compliant, and caring work environment for clinical and non-clinical associates, in alignment with MVH Europe.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Support the coordination of Health & Safety activities in partnership with the RSPP.

  • Maintain and update Health & Safety documentation and reporting systems.

  • Monitor compliance with Health & Safety legislation and internal guidelines.

  • Coordinate, track, and support all Health & Safety training activities, ensuring alignment and completion across clinics.

  • Assist in the development and implementation of Health & Safety initiatives and action plans.

  • Conduct regular visits to clinics to build relationships with managers and H&S ambassadors and support on-site implementation.

  • Support accident and incident investigations, including reporting and follow-up on corrective actions.

  • Act as a point of contact for internal stakeholders on operational health and safety matters.

  • Promote a proactive safety culture within the organization through regular engagement and presence on the field.

    Context and Scope

    As a Health & Safety Advisor, you provide operational support in the area of working conditions (health and safety) to the organization. You contribute to promoting a safe and healthy working environment and support compliance with relevant legislation and internal standards.

    You will work closely with managers, prevention officers, RSPP, and Associates to support the implementation and continuous improvement of policies and procedures.

    Supports all levels of Associates—from clinical team members to hospital leaders.

    Qualifications & Experience

  • Degree or professional certification in Occupational Health & Safety or related field.

  • Experience in HSE, occupational health, social work, or employee wellbeing.

  • Knowledge of local/EU safety regulations and HSE compliance.

  • Interest in workplace risk assessment and hazard control.

  • Ability to interpret and apply guidelines in a practical and structured way.

  • Good communication and organizational skills.

  • Ability to coordinate activities and manage multiple stakeholders.

  • Familiarity with HSE tools and systems is a plus.

  • Willingness to travel.
