Quality Engineer

RESPONSIBLITIES:

  • Coordinates and follow through on sample submissions involving initial samples, engineering changes, prototypes and pilots.
  • Prepares all sample submission documentation and submits to appropriate customer personnel.
  • Reviews all supplier PPAP information and is responsible for acceptance or rejection.
  • Prepares and updates inspection instructions, first piece set-up reports, incoming inspection reports, fixture certification, control plans and other necessary documentation.
  • Develops and initiates standards and methods for inspection, testing, and evaluation.
  • Devises sampling procedures and designs and develops forms and instructions for recording, evaluating, and reporting quality and reliability data.
  • Addresses and follows through on in-house and customer issues.
  • Assures that all corrective actions are submitted on a timely basis to the customer and that all preventive actions are verified to prevent recurrence of the issue.
  • Travels to customers and suppliers as necessary.
  • Works with other quality personnel to develop and implement an ongoing Quality Training Program.
  • Maintains a high level of confidentiality in all duties.
  • Participates in continuous improvement activities.

QUALIFICATIONS:

  • CMM experience preferred
  •           2-5+ years of experience in quality control in a manufacturing environment
  • Demonstrated experience with root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions

This full-time, salary role is a part of our Quality team and reports to the Quality Manager.
