Amazon Sales Operations Manager, Amazon PARP in Milan, Italy
Description
The Sales Operations Manager will support the country lead with all aspects of product installation and maintenance in Italy as we continue to expand the business. The successful candidate will build and maintain strong relationships with internal and external partners – including service providers, host partners, technology and product management, and the local business development team. The individual must be both analytical and creative, seeking out ways to improve products, processes, and tools, and executing on those ideas. Strong interpersonal skills are also important as the position will have frequent interaction with leadership at Amazon and partner companies. Key job responsibilities
Strategic Leadership & Operations:
• Lead end-to-end installation, maintenance, and post-installation operations (removal, decommissioning, moves, resizing) for Pickup and Return Points across assigned markets
• Drive strategic projects including new product launches (Gen5 lockers), geographic expansion, and process improvements aligned with business objectives
Supplier & Vendor Management:
• Manage complex supplier relationships across installation and maintenance services, negotiating contracts to achieve 90%+ SLA compliance
• Scale supplier capacity strategically, ensuring redundancy on critical services while driving cost reductions
Hardware Sourcing & Inventory Management
• Own hardware sourcing strategy, importation logistics, and inventory management across multiple countries and locker generations
• Optimize inventory allocation through refurbishment programs, cross-country transfers, and demand forecasting to minimize holding costs
Process Optimization & Automation
• Leverage AI tools and low/no-code solutions to streamline operational processes, targeting 15-30% productivity gains through automation
Financial Management:
• Manage program finance including purchase orders, invoice processing, and P&L ownership for assigned cost centers
• Work within imparted budgets while identifying savings opportunities through supplier optimization and process improvements
Stakeholder Management & Influence:
• Partner with cross-functional teams (Business Sales, Quality, Product/Tech, Finance, Marketing) to support business objectives
• Influence internal and external stakeholders through data-driven insights and strategic recommendations
Data Analysis & Performance Management:
• Conduct deep-dive analyses to identify root causes of operational issues and improvement opportunities
• Monitor and report on KPIs including 99%+ uptime targets, DPMO, FTDS, cycle time, and cost performance
• Establish dashboards and alarming mechanisms to proactively flag performance deterioration
Operational Excellence & Change Management:
• Maintain network reliability through proactive maintenance strategies and quality control mechanisms
• Lead teams through operational transformations, new technology implementations, and process redesigns
• Promote adaptability to rapid business changes and scaling requirements
Basic Qualifications
Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in operations, supply chain, business administration, or related field
3+ years managing end-to-end operational processes including installation, maintenance, or field service operations
Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating service level agreements with measurable performance improvements
Demonstrated experience using project management tools to deliver projects on time with documented milestone tracking
Demonstrated experience managing budgets exceeding $1MM annually including purchase orders and invoice processing
Demonstrated experience conducting data analysis to identify operational issues and implementing solutions with measurable KPI improvements
Demonstrated experience managing hardware inventory or physical assets across multiple locations
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent professional experience in operations, supply chain, business administration, or related field
• 3+ years managing end-to-end operational processes including installation, maintenance, or field service operations
• Demonstrated experience managing supplier relationships and negotiating service level agreements with measurable performance improvements
• Demonstrated experience using project management tools to deliver projects on time with documented milestone tracking
• Demonstrated experience managing budgets exceeding $1MM annually including purchase orders and invoice processing
• Demonstrated experience conducting data analysis to identify operational issues and implementing solutions with measurable KPI improvements
• Demonstrated experience managing hardware inventory or physical assets across multiple locations
Preferred Qualifications
Master's degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or related field
5+ years in operations management within logistics, last-mile delivery, or retail technology sectors
Demonstrated experience managing 3+ vendors achieving 90%+ SLA compliance while reducing costs by 15%+ annually
Demonstrated experience implementing GenAI or agentic AI tools to automate processes resulting in 15%+ productivity improvements with quantified savings
Demonstrated experience leading strategic projects involving new product launches or geographic expansion with $2MM+ documented business impact
Demonstrated experience influencing senior leadership through data-driven presentations resulting in approved investments or strategic pivots
Demonstrated experience optimizing P&L performance achieving cost reductions while maintaining service quality metrics
Demonstrated experience developing operational strategies that scaled capacity without proportional headcount increases
