City Of Milaca Police Officer in Milaca, Minnesota

The City of Milaca Police Department is accepting applications to fill the position of three (3) Full-Time Police Officers. Applicants must be P.O.S.T Licensed or eligible to be licensed by the date of hire. The current hourly pay scale for 2026 is $34.19 to $38.50 ($34.70 to $39.08 after 07/01/2026). Lateral applicants can be placed on the scale based on years of experience. Newly Approved Hiring and Retention Incentive: Officers who are hired in 2026 will receive $2,500 after successful completion of field training. Officers will receive $2,500 after three years of service, $3,000 after six years of service, and $4,500 after nine years of service. For longevity retention incentive, a year of service is 2080 scheduled hours. Benefits: The City of Milaca provides a competitive benefits package including 100% individual employee paid Health and dental premium. Family Health premiums are covered by the employer at 85% of the premium. A generous HSA contribution of $3,000 per year for individuals, and $6,000 per year for Family. Long-Term Disability and Short-Term Disability coverage paid by the employer. Life Insurance coverage of $20,000 paid by the employer. Initial equipment and uniforms will be provided by employer, starting in the second year of employment officers will receive a $1,000 uniform allowance annually per the union contract.
