We are looking for a skilled Welding Technologist to take ownership of welding and brazing technologies within our production environment. This role supports compliance with PED Category III while driving process standardization, quality, and continuous improvement.
Key responsibilities of the role
Define and standardize procedures for manual and automated welding and brazing
Ensure compliance with PED Category III and European standards
Act as specialist in MIG, MAG, resistance welding, and copper pipe brazing, including troubleshooting
Support transfer of welding technologies from Belgium to the Mikulov site
Develop and optimize Welding Procedure Specifications (WPS)
Train, qualify, and certify welders and brazers, including internal audits
Collaborate with Quality, Engineering, and Production teams to ensure consistency and repeatability
Support implementation and troubleshooting of robotic welding systems (Fanuc, Cloos)
Coordinate destructive and non-destructive testing (e.g., X-ray, ultrasound)
Contribute to new equipment, materials, and process improvements
Support resolution of technical and quality issues
Ensure safe operations, including authority to stop work in case of risk
Required skills and qualifications
Secondary technical education in welding (minimum)
Valid IWE/EWE certification
Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
Strong knowledge of welding and/or brazing processes
Experience with PED-regulated processes is an advantage
Strong troubleshooting skills in production environments
Availability to work on-site with flexible start time (06:00–08:00)
Preferred skills and qualifications
5+ years of experience
Experience with robotic welding systems (Fanuc, Cloos)
Expertise in WPS development and process optimization
Experience with NDT and destructive testing methods
Experience with technology transfer or production ramp-up
