About The Role:
The Maintenance Technician III: small engine; performs corrective and preventive maintenance on field and hydraulic equipment. They will have some responsibility for facilities maintenance including HVAC and electrical. This person is a skilled, experienced technician with the ability to work autonomously, synthesize problems and provide solutions. This individual will be responsible for assisting in training and mentoring other technicians where applicable.
Additional Information:
Pay: This role starts at $34.95/hr and cand be adjusted with experience
Schedule: Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM with the opportunity for overtime

This position requires working onsite 5 days a week
What You Will Do:
Perform corrective and preventive maintenance on hydraulic systems, small diesel/gas engines, and production equipment
Follow all safety protocols, including risk assessments, lockout/tagout, and proper tool usage
Electrical: Ability to operate multi-meter tester for voltage, amperage, and resistance
Motors: Demonstrate the ability to determine pertinent motor nameplate info for replacement and or reordering
Troubleshoot, repair, and test equipment; diagnose motor and electrical component failures
Interpret OEM manuals, Bill of Materials, and Standard Operating Procedures to guide repairs
Conduct inspections, apply root cause analysis/FMEA, and identify recurring faults for management review.
Operate diagnostic tools, including multi-meters, to assess voltage, amperage, and resistance
Maintain a clean, hazard-free environment for precision component repair
Pursue ongoing skills development as directed by management.
What You Will Have:
Associate degree or equivalent from two-year college or technical school; or six months to one-year related experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience
Must be at least 21 years of age
Have a clean driving record, which means:
No more than (2) moving violations within the last 12 months.
No more than three (3) moving violations in the past three (3) years.
Must show proficiency in all maintenance related job functions including but not limited to corrective and preventive maintenance
Must have knowledge of Critical Safety Devices and functionality
Ability to work independently or in a team setting
Understands the operating principles of all Mills, Lathes, Grinders, Saws, Presses, Bridge and Jib cranes, including basic troubleshooting and sequence of operation
Ability to diagnose motor failures and other electrical components
Ability to navigate CNC Controls to diagnose issues and verify corrective actions
Demonstrates a full understanding of the department’s CMMS system and completes required paperwork, documents parts, material usage and downtime within the CMMS
Advanced understanding of root cause analysis and FMEA
Advanced knowledge of overall manufacturing processes to identify external root causes
Identify routine faults or failures and report upper management
Actively working towards the completion of skills training curriculum as defined by management
Leader of lean manufacturing
Physical Demands:
Frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle, or feel; reach with hands and arms and talk or hear
Required to sit; climb or balance and stoop, kneel, crouch, or crawl
Must occasionally lift and/or move up to fifty pounds
Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception and ability to adjust focus
Must be able to wear protective footwear and other Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) as required by the department
Work Environment:
Regularly exposed to fumes or airborne particles
Frequently exposed to moving mechanical parts and outside weather conditions
Occasionally exposed to high, precarious places and vibration
Noise Level: Moderate
Summary Pay Range:
$34.30 - $45.95
