Summary:
Registered Behavioral Technician provides direct behavior analytic services under the close, ongoing supervision of a Board Certified Behavior Analyst (BCBA) or a Board Certified Assistant Behavior Analyst (BCaBA). The RBT will work with clients primarily diagnosed with autism spectrum disorders and related developmental disabilities in a variety of settings, including clinics, schools, and client homes.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
- Behavioral Implementation: Implement behavior analytic services, as directed by the supervising BCBA/BCaBA, including interventions and skill-acquisition plans.
- Data Collection: Accurately collect and record data on clients' behavior as specified in the treatment plan.
- Client Interaction: Engage with clients to foster positive interactions and implement behavior intervention plans aimed at improving specific identified behaviors.
- Progress Reporting: Provide regular written and verbal progress updates to supervising behavior analysts and, when appropriate, to families or other team members.
- Maintenance of Professional Boundaries: Maintain a professional relationship with clients and their families, respecting privacy and confidentiality in line with ethical guidelines.
- Crisis Management: Respond to crisis situations effectively, employing techniques for de-escalation and maintaining the safety of all involved parties.
- Collaborative Teamwork: Collaborate with other team members to ensure consistency in therapeutic interventions and strategies across all environments; including exceptional management of personal conflicts between colleagues (i.e. the Lead RBT will conduct themselves respectfully and professionally with colleagues and include a supervisor when necessary).
- Professional Development: Participate in ongoing training and professional development opportunities to maintain RBT certification and stay current with best practices in the field.
* Work Environment:*
This role involves working in multiple environments, including clinics, community locations, educational institutions, and client homes. The RBT must be adaptable to the changing needs and locations of clients.

Physical Demands:
- Must be able to handle physically demanding interactions with clients as needed.
- Physical ability to perform therapeutic techniques and interventions with clients, including lifting, bending, and moving as necessary during sessions.
Demonstrate the physical capacity (standing, lifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, bending, kneeling. squatting, bilateral use of hands, finger dexterity, strength, range of motion, and balance) to perform assigned work consistent with established quality and quantity standards and employer expectations.
