Summary: As the Intake Specialist you will support the agency's vision, mission, and approaches to the problems that we are trying to solve. You will support the work of client intake through the implementation of comprehensive systems which focus on client needs and services. You will collect and enter data into the Homeless Management Information System (HMIS). In conjunction with the Intake Coordinator, you will utilize relationship-driven strategies that inform best practices to ensure safety and to positively affect the community that we serve.
In this role, you will partner and collaborate with all internal staff and programs to further the work of the agency goals. You will support and implement data collection, reporting and tracking systems as required by funders in regard to client intake practices. You will learn about, research and report on community events and resources to ensure that community-based services are equitable and address systematic factors that keep individuals and families from reaching self-sufficiency.
Responsibilities:
- Perform intake procedures for incoming client phone calls as well as contact forms received electronically
- Maintain client history through the implementation and maintenance of voicemail log and waitlist spreadsheets
- Perform analysis on individual client needs and refer to appropriate internal and community programs/services, including setting of appointments in caseworker schedules
- Complete intakes as needed
