Great Lakes Business Partner DK Home Health Care / Direct Support Professional in Midland, Michigan
We are looking for enthusiastic people to work in multiple homes in the Midland area. Starting pay is between $16.00- $18.00 per hour, plus mileage reimbursement. Looking for 1st, 2^nd^, respite shifts and overnight shifts. Experience is preferred but not required; we are willing to offer on the job training. We need people who are compassionate, flexible and work as a team player. You will be required to work every other weekend.
Direct Service Professionals (DSP) are required to follow the individuals' plan of service and to ensure the individuals' health and safety are met and promote as much independence as possible.
Job Responsibilities include:
Staff prompting, reminding, queuing, observing, guiding, and/or training the client.
- Meal preparation
- Laundry
- Routine, seasonal and household care and maintenance of consumer personal space
- Activities of daily living such as bathing, eating, dressing and personal hygiene
- Shopping for food and other necessities for consumer. Assist with training to help consumer handle challenging activities, safety (such as crossing the street while out in a community setting), help schedule medical appointments when needed.
Attend events with clients: bowling, concerts, appointments and family functions.
A Background check will be required.
Must have a valid drivers license.
