Senior Services Center Services Manager Nutrition Department Full Time in Midland, Michigan
TITLE: Center Services Manager
Full Time: 40 Hours Week Monday - Friday
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Training: Bachelor's degree preferred or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience. Prefer education or course work related to Recreation Management, Business Administration, Non-profit Management, Education, or related field. ServSafe Certification and CPR/First Aid/AED Certification required, or willing to obtain if not certified.
Experience: Minimum one year management experience is required, as well as experience with the development, implementation and coordination of programs and events. Experience working with the older adult population is preferred.
Job Requirements: • Excellent oral and written communication skills • Computer skills including Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook • CRM experience, Salesforce software experience • Interpersonal skills along with excellent customer service • Reliable automobile, valid driver's license and auto insurance • Ability to lift up to 40 lbs. • ServSafe Food Handler Certification, basic food safety knowledge • Demonstrate flexibility and adaptability in handling challenging situations
JOB GOAL: To manage, coordinate, and evaluate programs and services offered at the Senior Activity and Dining Centers while providing support, education, and supervision to Site Manager staff.
REPORTS TO: Nutrition Program Director
PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. Center Programs, Activities Development, and Evaluation a. Foster Activity & Dining Center goals to promote creatively engaging older adults to meet their nutritional, social, recreational, and educational needs. b. Develop processes for implementation of new programs, special events, and activities. c. Utilize technology tools to support data collection, program evaluation, and continuous improvement of Center activities. d. Work together with Site Managers and other Agency programs, including Education/Community Outreach Program, and other Agency collaborations to provide programs and services. e. Evaluate effectiveness of nutrition programs and activities at the Centers. f. Assist and guide Site Managers to seek creative ways to attract new attendees and retain current participants. g. Acknowledge clients, Site Managers, and management regarding concerns and complaints and respond promptly when necessary to initiate suitable adjustments or resolutions.
- Supervision and Staff Management a. Lead Site Managers in providing guidance, training, and resources. b. Practice leadership and management skills, fostering a positive, professional attitude and behavior. c. Maintain Site Manager schedules, including payroll and other employment records. d. Assist Site Managers with supervision, education, and training of Center volunteers, Meals on Wheels volunteers, and Center Advisory Board members. e. Oversee and assist Site Managers with scheduling Meals on Wheels volunteers. f. Assist Site Managers with development and evaluation of goals. g. Provide coverage support for Site Managers as needed for vacation and/or sick time needs, including maintaining communication with management and/or Head Cooks to ensure continuity of operations. h. Coordinate recruitment, orientation, and training for new Site Managers.
