What You Will Do:
The Pratt & Whitney Columbus Forge Module Center is looking for a Technical Trainer to develop, implement and administer technical training for manufacturing operations. In addition, this position will focus on the creation and administration of a training program that focuses on improving the technical competencies of manufacturing employees, while reducing training cycle time.
This includes, but is not limited to, managing training growth, creating and fostering training partner relationships, establishing traditional and blended learning solutions, monitoring training KPIs, and defining procedural aspects related to technical training.
This role involves administering training material in multiple delivery formats, i.e., online, classroom, plus on-job-training and handle simple to complex administrative tasks.
Responsibilities:
Collaborate with various Mod Center stakeholders to create and design OJT curriculum and online training content
Troubleshoot and resolve live issues, identifies solutions / answers and provide timely responses to written correspondence or requests
Assess employee skills, monitors, reports progress, and makes development recommendations to supervisors
Assist in the development and deliver technical and non-technical content through a variety of mediums, with the primary focus on instructor-led facilitation
Ensure learning objectives and goals are met through assessments and market feedback analysis
Active involvement in continuous improvement initiatives to meet the organization’s goals and fill identified training gaps
Assign training requirements, provision system access and facilitate New Hire Orientation
Partner with outside vendors to deliver training on new and existing equipment, processes and competencies
Ensure compliance with training documentation procedures, statutory and regulatory requirements
Regularly leverage multiple Learning Management Systems to record and/or update training requirements and proficiencies
Proctor assessments and ensure availability of required equipment and resources
Prepare and distribute training reports and maintain team SharePoint site
Create, organize, file, and maintain training records in both digital and printed format
Attend scheduled meetings and perform other technical and administrative tasks as needed
Qualifications You Must Have:
3+ years of Training or Quality experience or 4+ years of strong administrative experience
High school diploma or G.E.D.
Proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
Strong planning and organizing skills
Proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite, especially Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint
Excellent communication, presentation, public speaking, and interpersonal skills
Ability to successfully complete tasks with minimal oversight
Qualifications We Prefer:
5+ years Training or Quality experience in a manufacturing environment or 3+ years Training or Quality experience with Technical Certificate/Post-Secondary Degree in related field
Proven experience delivering and designing technical and non-technical trainings courses in a manufacturing setting
Proven experience in applying well-developed problem-solving skills (quantitative, conceptual, consultative, analytical) working with all levels of an organization
Advanced training, planning and organizing background
Knowledge of SAP TEM, Covalent and/or Workday Learning systems
Certified Train-the-Trainer
CORE Associate
Technical Certificate/Post-Secondary Degree in related field
