Job Description
Ensure buildings remain clean and orderly by performing heavy cleaning duties, such as cleaning floors, shampooing rugs, washing walls and glass, and removing rubbish.
Responsibilities
Collect and dispose of trash following approved procedures and infection control plans.
Dust and damp mop floors following approved procedures.
Move equipment and furniture for proper cleaning and return furniture to its correct placement.
Clean assigned areas using designated materials and equipment, ensuring all surfaces are sanitized.
Follow the eight-step cleaning procedure for optimal cleanliness.
Wash walls, windows, furniture, baseboards, and other items to maintain a clean, safe environment for patients, visitors, and staff.
Identify areas requiring cleaning and take initiative to complete tasks.
Complete all tasks assigned by the supervisor.
Perform tasks in compliance with all federal, state, and county guidelines.
Strip, scrub, buff, and refinish floors; shampoo carpets.
Contribute to the team by exhibiting professionalism with customers, fellow employees, and others.
Essential Skills
Experience in cleaning, industrial, janitorial, and housekeeping duties.
Proficiency in sweeping, mopping, and custodial tasks.
At least 6 months of basic janitorial experience.
Ability to perform basic cleaning of bathrooms, warehouse floors, and common areas.
Understanding of general labor and industrial cleaning protocols.
Adherence to safety guidelines.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Ability to seek out areas requiring cleaning and take initiative.
Professionalism in interactions with customers and colleagues.

Work Environment
Work in a modern and clean facility with a team of approximately 32 employees. Steel-toed shoes are required. The schedule includes positions Monday through Thursday from 6am/7am to 4:30pm/5:30pm and Thursday through Saturday from 6pm/7pm to 4:30am/5:30am.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Middletown, PA.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $16.00 - $16.00/hr.
