Job Title: Electrical Maintenance Technician

Job Description

The Electrical Maintenance Technician maintains and troubleshoots building and production equipment, focusing on electrical and mechanical systems to keep operations running safely and efficiently. This role plans and performs both corrective and preventive maintenance, ensures accurate documentation in maintenance software, and supports continuous improvement of equipment reliability.

Responsibilities

  • Troubleshoot building electrical systems and components to quickly identify and resolve issues.

  • Diagnose and repair electrical problems on production and facility equipment using schematics and diagnostic tools.

  • Troubleshoot and maintain mechanical systems on equipment to ensure smooth and reliable operation.

  • Perform preventive maintenance on industrial and automated equipment to minimize downtime and extend equipment life.

  • Maximize equipment utilization by maintaining machinery to run at available capacity and improve reliability.

  • Follow up on all work orders to ensure repairs are completed correctly and in a timely manner.

  • Enter, update, and maintain accurate records of maintenance activities in the maintenance software program.

  • Assist in planning and scheduling maintenance work to balance priorities and minimize disruption to operations.

  • Support automation and industrial systems through electrical maintenance and PLC troubleshooting.

  • Comply with all company policies and procedures, with a strong focus on safety and proper work practices.

Essential Skills

  • Strong electrical abilities with hands-on experience in electrical maintenance and troubleshooting.

  • Proficiency in PLC troubleshooting to diagnose and correct control system issues.

  • Mechanical aptitude to maintain and repair mechanical components of industrial equipment.

  • Ability to read and interpret electrical schematics and technical documentation.

  • Experience with preventive maintenance in an industrial or automated equipment environment.

  • Competence in using maintenance software or computerized maintenance management systems to document work.

  • Strong troubleshooting skills for both electrical and mechanical systems.

  • Ability to follow safety procedures and company policies consistently.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

  • Experience working with industrial automation equipment.

  • Experience in repair and maintenance of industrial machinery and facility systems.

  • Familiarity with schematic-based diagnostics for complex electrical systems.

  • Experience performing both corrective and preventive maintenance in a production setting.

  • Interest in continuing education and skills development related to electrical, mechanical, or automation technologies.

Work Environment

The role takes place in an industrial setting with automated equipment and building systems that require both electrical and mechanical maintenance. Work hours and shifts follow facility needs, and you will spend much of the day on the production floor and in maintenance areas performing hands-on tasks.

This is a Permanent position based out of Middletown, OH.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $73000.00 - $74000.00/yr.
