CTG AI/ML Engineer – 5G / RAN / ORAN in Middletown, New Jersey
CTG is seeking to fill an AI/ML Engineer – 5G / RAN / ORAN position for our client.
Location: Middletown, NJ
Duration: 12 months
Duties:
Design, develop, and deploy AI/ML models to optimize 5G, RAN, and ORAN network performance and operations
Apply machine learning techniques to network analytics, anomaly detection, traffic prediction, and automation
Collaborate with cross-functional teams including network engineering, software development, and data science
Develop scalable solutions using cloud-native architectures and distributed computing frameworks
Analyze large-scale telecom datasets to derive actionable insights and improve network efficiency
Implement and maintain data pipelines and model lifecycle management processes
Contribute to ORAN intelligent controller (RIC) use cases and xApp/rApp development
Document technical designs, methodologies, and results for stakeholders
Skills:
Strong expertise in AI/ML algorithms, deep learning, and statistical modeling
Proficiency in Python and/or Java for model development and deployment
Experience with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes)
Knowledge of 5G architecture, RAN, and ORAN frameworks
Familiarity with big data tools and frameworks (e.g., Spark, Hadoop)
Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills
Ability to work independently and lead technical initiatives
Experience:
Recent PhD graduate from a top U.S. university in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or Telecommunications/Networking
Academic or research focus on AI/ML applied to 5G, RAN, or ORAN environments
Hands-on experience with machine learning model development and deployment
Exposure to telecom network data and systems is highly preferred
Demonstrated leadership and collaboration capabilities
Education:
- PhD in Computer Science, Artificial Intelligence, Machine Learning, Electrical Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related field
Excellent verbal and written English communication skills and the ability to interact professionally with a diverse group are required.

The expected base salary for this position ranges from $60.00 to $69.00/hour. Salary offers are based on a wide range of factors including relevant skills, training, experience, education, market factors, and where applicable, licensure or certifications obtained. In addition to salary, a competitive benefit package is also offered.
