Job Title: Warehouse Coordinator
Job Description
The Warehouse Coordinator oversees day-to-day warehouse operations on first shift, ensuring the efficient loading and unloading of trucks, accurate preparation of outbound shipments, and proper management of all related documentation. This role uses WMS/ERP systems and spreadsheets to maintain precise inventory and shipping records, supports distribution and logistics activities, and provides hands-on coordination with warehouse staff on the floor.
1st. shift: 8am to 4:30pm (must be flexible with the start time)
Responsibilities
Coordinate the loading and unloading of trucks to ensure timely and accurate inbound and outbound shipments.
Prepare and process shipment documentation, including invoices and bills of lading, in an accurate and timely manner.
Use WMS/ERP software and spreadsheets to perform data entry, track inventory, and maintain up-to-date warehouse records.
Generate reports related to inventory, shipping, receiving, and warehouse activity as needed.
Monitor and maintain warehouse inventory levels, supporting supply chain and distribution logistics activities.
Oversee daily shipping and receiving operations, including picking, packing, and material handling tasks.
Operate sit-down forklifts and other material handling equipment safely to move, load, and unload products.
Work closely with warehouse workers on daily tasks, providing direction, guidance, and support to keep operations running smoothly.
Apply Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) in all warehouse activities to support product quality and compliance.
Communicate effectively with internal teams to resolve issues, coordinate schedules, and support a fast-paced operation.
Identify and help resolve operational problems, using strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized warehouse environment in accordance with OSHA and company safety standards.
Essential Skills
1–3 years of experience in a warehouse, distribution, or logistics environment.
Experience coordinating shipping, receiving, and inventory activities.
Proficiency with WMS/ERP software for data entry and warehouse management.
Basic computer skills, including the use of spreadsheets and word processing software (Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Word).
Ability to operate sit-down forklifts and other warehouse moving equipment safely.
Strong organizational, multitasking, and problem-solving abilities in a fast-paced environment.
Good written and oral communication skills.
Good interpersonal and leadership abilities to interact frequently with warehouse workers and support daily tasks.
Experience with inventory control, shipping and receiving, and warehouse inventory processes.
Ability to perform material handling tasks, including unloading, picking, and packing.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Strong overall computer skills beyond basic data entry.
Experience working with supply chain and distribution logistics processes.
Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) experience preferred, especially in a food-related environment.
Ability to work effectively in a modern, high-volume warehouse setting.
Comfort working in an environment with a strong spice smell due to stored food products.

Work Environment
This is a first-shift position, typically working from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. in a brand-new, approximately 575,000-square-foot distribution facility. The building is heated in the winter and, while not air conditioned, is equipped with modern ventilation and fans to help maintain a manageable temperature; for example, when it is over 90°F outside, the interior is typically around 80°F. The warehouse stores and ships manufactured food products from another plant and does not perform manufacturing on-site, but it does have a strong spice smell throughout the facility. The environment follows Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP) and OSHA safety standards. Appropriate protective footwear is required, including safety shoes with steel or composite toes that meet OSHA requirements. Employees work with forklifts, material handling equipment, and modern WMS/ERP and computer systems in a high-volume, fast-paced distribution setting.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.
