Project Manager
Pay Rate: $52/hour
Schedule: Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM–4:00 PM
Location: Onsite – Michigan City, IN
Position Overview
The Project Manager is responsible for managing, developing, and implementing construction-related projects of varying complexity and size. This role partners closely with business stakeholders to ensure successful project execution from inception to completion. The ideal candidate has strong construction project management experience and thrives in a fast-paced environment.
Key Responsibilities
Project Leadership & Execution
Lead multiple projects from initiation through completion
Facilitate project planning sessions with internal stakeholders to define scope and objectives
Develop detailed project plans, timelines, and milestones
Establish and track project performance goals
Monitor progress against timelines and deliverables
Assign appropriate resources to project tasks
Budget & Financial Oversight
Plan and monitor project budgets
Track invoices and project-related expenses
Conduct research and analysis to support financial planning
Provide input into project cost forecasting
Risk & Quality Management
Identify, assess, and mitigate project risks
Utilize quality tools to evaluate risk areas
Develop alternative solutions in collaboration with stakeholders
Escalate and resolve project issues effectively
Communication & Stakeholder Engagement
Serve as primary point of contact for project updates
Communicate status to Project Sponsor and stakeholders
Coordinate and lead project meetings
Collaborate with cross-functional teams and diverse stakeholders
Document and share project learnings and best practices
Documentation & Reporting
Maintain accurate project records, notes, and databases
Prepare and distribute internal and external reports
Monitor project metrics and performance indicators
Team Leadership
Guide and coach team members throughout project stages
Provide developmental feedback
Foster alignment and accountability across teams
Required Qualifications
Minimum 5 years of project management experience
Construction project management experience required
Strong organizational skills
Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Strong communication skills
Experience with Excel and Smartsheets
Ability to mitigate risk and manage multiple priorities
Education
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Relevant experience may be considered in lieu of degree
