About the role:

Leads day‑to‑day performance and service of assigned External Manufacturers (EMs). Lead cross-functional teams to External Manufacturing KPI achievement across safety, quality, delivery and cost dimensions (True North KPIs). Scope includes 16 external manufacturers with $111m 2026 budgeted spend.

Your key duties and responsibilities:

  • Define and implement Daily Management structure within EM OC & CC in alignment with the Convatec Performance System (CPS)

  • Understand OC & CC EM contributions to EM True North KPIs, develop leading indicators for underperforming metrics, and build action plans to improve performance.

  • Cost

  • Track and manage Spend vs Budget

  • Design and implement a process for managing Write-Offs, including a process for the management of free-issue material to EM Suppliers and scrap exceeding standards

  • Create a portfolio of projects to drive Gross Productivity

  • Quality

  • Design and champion Complaints-per-Million (CPM) reduction initiatives to achieve 1% year-over-year reduction in partnership with EM Quality (internal), NPD (internal) and EM Suppliers (external).

  • Champion CAPA Investigations to timely resolution in partnership with EM Quality (internal), NPD (internal) and EM Suppliers (external).

  • Resilience

  • Create processes to track, manage and improve Supplier OTIF Delivery

  • Ensure 100% Contract Coverage for all EM Suppliers

  • Analyse project and EM strategy impact on Inventory Days on Hand (DOH); partner with Supply Chain to drive sensible improvements to inventory position with respect to inventory carrying costs and supply continuity

  • Service

  • Drive improvements in DIFOT in partnership with supply chain (internal) and EM Suppliers (external).

  • Establish a mechanism to track and report Project Health Score; work with internal and external partners to drive improvement

  • Establish backorder targets Backorder $ in partnership with finance (internal). Drive backorder reduction in partnership with supply chain (internal) and EM Suppliers (external).

  • Receive NPI projects into business-as-usual, including Cure Aqua.

  • Develop capacity plans in support of OC & CC growth initiatives

  • Develop strategic risk-mitigation plans to ensure continuity of supply which may include supplier transfers, insourcing, outsourcing and dual sourcing projects.

  • Champion standard work and continuous improvement across EM operations.

Skills & Experience:

  • 7+ years in external manufacturing, planning, or plant operations (medical devices, pharma, or regulated consumer preferred).

  • Proven track record running external manufacturing performance: OTIF recovery, shortage management, and cost improvement.

  • Strong command of S&OP, capacity modelling, and inventory optimization.

  • Hands‑on experience with project management and change control in a QMS environment

  • Comfortable leading tough supplier conversations; crisp escalations with data and options

Qualifications/Education:

  • BS Engineering or related discipline.

Travel Requirements:

  • Position involves up to 25% international travel.

Working Conditions:

  • Remote with travel. Working hours vary based on business needs, with flexibility to meet with stakeholders in various time zones required.
