We currently have a Permanent (Direct Hire) opportunity in Miamisburg, OH for a Technical Support Service Representative to provide in-house and onsite technical support, preventative maintenance, field repair, and commissioning of a variety of voltage control and power quality equipment.Must have a good understanding of power quality equipment.

Job Description:

  • Responsible for providing in-house and onsite technical support, preventative maintenance, field repair, and commissioning of a variety of voltage control and power quality equipment.
  • Also responsible for verifying scheduling of service calls with customers and meeting pre-scheduled preventative maintenance agreements.
  • Includes but not limited to troubleshooting, testing, repairing, and maintaining a variety of electrical and mechanical equipment.
  • Provides pre-sales and post sales technical support to the sales team.
  • Responsible for final testing and inspection prior to shipping as required when not dispatched in the field.
  • Evaluate and perform corrective maintenance utilizing in-depth troubleshooting of a wide variety of equipment at customer sites.
  • Perform start up services on all products such as voltage regulator and UPS (Uninterruptible Power Supply) products at customer sites.
  • Provide technical assistance over the telephone as required.
  • Provide written reports for all repair activities including time sheets and expense reports to support the timely invoicing of customers.
  • Provide feedback to management for the purpose of improving customer satisfaction.
  • Provide input for the development of Field Service and Tech Support Policies and Procedures.
  • Function as technical interface for customers and channel partners.
  • Quote services and/or parts required by the customer.
  • Schedule service calls for Technicians, Authorized Service Providers (ASPs), or themselves.
  • Primary Service Representative for top tier Service customers. (Philips Medical and Current/Dualite).
  • Assist others in the Service department as needed.
  • Other duties that may be assigned by the Service Manager.

Required:

  • This position requires domestic and occasional international travel.
  • Must be a US nationalized citizen and be willing and able to obtain or have a current US Passport.
  • Must have a valid driver's license.
  • Will use own vehicle.
  • Must have a good understanding of power quality equipment.
  • Must have a working knowledge of electrical and electronic principles.
  • Ability to read and interpret schematics, diagrams, specifications, and operation manuals.
  • Experience with computer applications (ERP systems, MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to stand, walk, stoop, bend, reach, lift loads up to 50 lbs. and use hand tools.
  • Periodically sits at a desk or workstation in front of a computer screen and use hands and fingers to operate a computer keyboard and/or mouse.
  • The work environment is a combination of field activities, factory, and general office workspaces.
