Responsibilities

The Quality Inspector plays a vital role in supporting daily quality operations and ensuring compliance with the company’s Quality Management System (QMS). This position focuses on key quality assurance activities, including final product release support, router and documentation review, electronic Device History Record (eDHR) review within the MES system, and overall records management. The Inspector will also perform receiving inspections, conduct incoming material testing, and support data collection and analysis for management reviews.

Additionally, this role reinforces a culture of quality excellence by collaborating with cross-functional teams and contributing to system integration efforts, change management processes, and continuous improvement initiatives.

  • Final Release Support: Review and verify batch records, product documentation, and MES eDHRs to ensure product meets all release criteria.

  • Documentation Review: Conduct router and record reviews for accuracy and completeness.

  • Records Management: Organize, store, and maintain quality documentation in compliance with regulatory and internal requirements.

  • Receiving Inspection: Perform visual and dimensional inspections on incoming components and materials using approved procedures and inspection tools.

  • Incoming Testing: Execute tests on incoming materials as per specifications and document results accurately.

  • Data Collection & Reporting: Collect, compile, and analyze quality data to support management reviews and drive improvement initiatives.

  • Cross-Functional Support: Collaborate with engineering, operations, and supply chain teams to resolve quality issues and support production ramp-up and system integration efforts.

  • Continuous Improvement: Identify and report non-conformances, contribute to root cause analysis, and support implementation of corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs) and Non-Conformance.

  • Compliance Monitoring: Ensure all tasks are performed in accordance with company policies, procedures, and applicable regulatory requirements.

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documents.

  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

High school diploma, equivalent skilled trades, apprenticeships or equivalent education. Requires a minimum of 2+ years of relevant experience.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2+ years of experience in a manufacturing or quality inspection role, preferably in a regulated industry (e.g., medical device, aerospace, automotive).

  • Knowledge of quality system standards (e.g., ISO 13485, FDA regulations).

  • Solid understanding of quality assurance principles and regulated manufacturing environments.

  • Experience with MES or electronic DHR systems is a plus.

  • Ability to interpret technical drawings, specifications, and quality documents.

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook).

  • Effective communication and collaboration skills.
