Aston Carter Senior Accountant in Miami, Florida
We are seeking a skilled Senior Accountant to join our team and play a pivotal role in supporting the transition of our accounting system from Sage 500 to SAP S/4HANA. This position offers the opportunity to work with a leading company in a dynamic industry focused on automation and efficiency improvements, backed by a strong leadership team offering mentorship.
Responsibilities
Collaborate with the SAP S/4HANA implementation team to support system transition from Sage 500 to SAP.
Assist with general accounting close activities, including reconciliations, postings, and financial statement preparation.
Provide audit support, including documentation requests and footnote preparation.
Backfill accounting responsibilities during month-end close and audit periods.
Transition into recurring day-to-day accounting tasks starting February to allow internal team members to focus on SAP testing.
Work extensively in Excel to support reporting and reconciliation needs.
Participate in conversations with the implementation team and contribute to process improvements.
Essential Skills
Proven experience in general accounting and audit support.
Familiarity with ERP systems, especially SAP S/4HANA and Sage 500.
Advanced Excel skills.
Strong attention to detail and documentation.
Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification.
Self-starter with a proactive attitude and willingness to “roll up sleeves.”
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Work Environment
The role will report to the Director and requires collaboration with both internal team members and the SAP S/4HANA implementation team. The position offers the opportunity to engage in process improvements and contribute to a company undergoing significant automation enhancements. Dress code is business casual.

This is a Contract position based out of Miami, FL.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $65.00/hr.
