Description
We are looking for an experienced Property Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. In this Contract to permanent position, you will play a vital role in overseeing financial operations for real estate assets, ensuring accuracy and compliance. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in property accounting and a proven ability to work with Yardi software.
Responsibilities:
• Manage property accounting tasks, including accruals, general ledger entries, and month-end closings.
• Prepare and analyze financial statements, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
• Perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Oversee daily reconciliations for rental and vacation properties.
• Utilize Yardi software to maintain and update financial records effectively.
• Ensure compliance with accounting standards and regulations related to real estate.
• Collaborate with property managers and other stakeholders to address financial discrepancies.
• Monitor and report on the financial performance of investment properties.
• Provide support during audits and assist in resolving any identified issues.

Requirements • Proven experience in property accounting, with expertise in real estate financial operations.
• Proficiency in Yardi software for managing financial records.
• Strong knowledge of accrual accounting and general ledger processes.
• Demonstrated ability to perform account reconciliations, including balance sheet and bank reconciliations.
• Experience in preparing accurate and timely financial statements.
• Familiarity with accounting practices for rental and vacation properties.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Strong organizational abilities with attention to detail.
