Robert Half Fund Accounting Manager in Miami, Florida
Description
We are looking for a dedicated Fund Accountant to join our team in Miami, Florida. This role is ideal for someone with extensive experience in fund accounting and a strong background in working with non-profit organizations. You will play a pivotal part in managing financial transactions, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with grant and contract obligations.
Responsibilities:
*Connect with previous donors and participants of the donations on previous years and engage in events, collaborate as needed to attain proper donations for the cause
• Oversee the accurate tracking of funds and financial resources for non-profit initiatives.
• Reconcile accounts and ensure all financial transactions are properly documented.
• Collaborate on the development and negotiation of contracts to support organizational goals.
• Manage collections and ensure timely receipt of funds from donors and partners.
• Prepare detailed financial reports and support audits as needed.
• Assist in business development efforts by analyzing financial data and identifying opportunities.
• Organize and participate in social events to strengthen donor relationships.
• Utilize NetSuite software to maintain accurate financial records and streamline processes.
• Ensure compliance with foundation grants and regulatory requirements.

Requirements
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in accounting, preferably within the non-profit sector.
• Strong knowledge of fund accounting principles and practices.
• Familiarity with foundation grants and their financial requirements.
• Bachelor’s degree in accounting, finance, or a related field.
• Excellent business development and contract negotiation skills.
• Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational capabilities.
• Ability to work in a hybrid environment with flexibility.
