Facilities Manager – Miami-Dade County (12-Month Contract)

Manpower Engineering is seeking an experienced Facilities Manager to support our client, a highly regarded organization overseeing complex facility operations in the Miami-Dade business district. This on-site role offers the opportunity to lead a high-performing team while ensuring the facility operates safely, efficiently, and reliably every day.

About the Role

The Facilities Manager will provide day-to-day leadership and operational oversight, serving as the primary liaison between the client and the operations team. Responsibilities include managing preventive maintenance programs, monitoring CMMS data accuracy, ensuring contractual compliance, optimizing asset lifecycle planning, and maintaining strict fiscal control.

Success in this role requires excellent communication skills, strong technical and managerial expertise, and the ability to balance operational excellence with budgetary discipline. This is an on-site position; candidates must be able to commute to the Miami-Dade area daily.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or related field.

  • Minimum 10 years of management/leadership experience with a reputable organization.

  • Exceptional command of the English language, both written and verbal.

  • Bilingual proficiency in Spanish is beneficial for workforce communication.

  • Strong customer service mindset with excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

  • Highly detail-oriented with the ability to produce accurate operational and financial reports.

  • Demonstrated delegation, team leadership, and deadline management skills.

  • Ability to commute daily to the Miami-Dade area.

  • Experience overseeing complex facility operations, interpreting contracts, and ensuring compliance.

Preferred Experience

  • BOMA or IFMA designations (RPA, CFM).

  • Proficiency with MS Excel, Word, PowerPoint, and MS Project.

  • Experience managing multidisciplinary teams and stakeholder meetings.

  • Background in mission-critical or high-availability facilities.

  • Hands-on knowledge of MEP, fire alarm, security, and building automation systems.

  • Familiarity with HVAC, electrical, plumbing, carpentry, and general building maintenance.

  • Understanding of OSHA regulations and safety compliance requirements.
