The pay range is $64,000.00 - $128,000.00

The job of Assets Protection (AP) teams is to keep our guests, team and brand secure and lead through crisis events. They protect profitable sales by mitigating shortage risks, preventing, theft and fraud to ensure products are available for our guest. They also build relationships inside and outside of Target including store leaders and public safety officials, including law enforcement.

Creating andmanaging asecurityculture, including crisis response, a strong safety environment and crowd-management planningandproviding support to both guests and team members

As Executive Team Leader - Assets Protection , no two days are ever the same, but a typical day most likely will include the following responsibilities:
Consistently delivers guest experience commitments
Holds TLs accountable to deliver exceptional guest experiences through consistent accountability, team development,trainingand recognition.
Celebratesoutstanding guest experiences across teams and ensures recognition is consistent and meaningful.
Reviews area guest, financial, and team metrics toidentifygaps and understand team behaviors.
Celebrates wins, sets clear priorities, and leads actions that drive results and enhance the guest experience.
Partners across teams to create an easy,inspiringand friendly guest experience.
Establish, manage,influenceandvalidateasecurityculture by drivingand improvingphysicalsecurity processes.
Lead store responsetoemergencyandcrisis situations anddevelopsecurityplans for in-store events.
Educate store leaders and teams on emergency preparedness and physical security procedures.
Identifyshortage risks in keyareasand developstrategiesandtacticstoreduceshortageand drive profitable sales.
Drive total store sales and increase profitability by ensuring product is in stock and available to our guests.
Guide APteam leaders in your district/marketon strategies to execute company initiatives.
Plan and lead investigative and verbal de-escalationtrainingsas needed;identify,planandfacilitateothertrainingsas needed for your AP team,storeordistrict.
Maintain all required trainingfor you and yourteam.
Manageidentification and resolution of internalinvestigationsincluding conductinginternal interviews for your store and nearby storesin partnership withyour leader.
Anticipate andidentifytheft and shortage trends in your store and develop proactive strategies to prevent shortage and theft.
Support store team indeterminingoperational shortage prioritiesfor store; educate and influence store teams on these priorities.
Manageprevention(inclusive of merchandise protection budgeting), identification and resolution of external theft incidents and investigations.
Worka schedule that aligns to guest and business needs,based onsecurityand theft patterns (this includes early morning/overnightshifts,eveningand weekends).
Build partnerships that allow you toidentifymarket trends and competition strategies.
Build a relationship of trust and accountability with your leader and Store Directorin order toappropriately advocate for AP priorities and initiatives.
Develop,scheduleand deployresources based onanalysis ofsecurityand theft trendsin your unique location.
Plan,leadand followup on organizational and operational changes.
Establishandmaintaina culture of accountability through clear expectations and performancemanagement.
Anticipateshort-term and long-termstaffingand schedulingneeds.Managetalent planning,recruitmentandAP payrollutilization.
Support the onboarding and development of AP Team Leaders in your district/market.
Develop,coachand leadyour teammembers and Team Leaders (if applicable)to elevate theirskills andexpertise.
Educate store leadership on merchandiseprotectionbest practice and audit execution in partnership with keypartners.
Create, communicate,influenceand educate AP priorities(including shortage priorities) to your team,peersand store teams.
Develop andleadstore safety cultureand performance of the departmentthrough modeling and recognizing safe behaviors,identifyingand correcting hazards in partnership with store leaders,holding the team accountable to following safety expectations,assistingwith incident response,andreporting/investigating injuriestimelyand accurately.
Lead and directsafety program management routines such as Monthly Safety Meetings/Observations.
Order merchandise protection devices as needed to support theminimumstandards for your store. Review and manage theallocatedbudget and adhere to the guidance in the Merchandise Protection Best Practice
As needed, act as first responder for in-storesafetyincidents(e.g., security, weather, etc.).
Create and lead a culture of executing all best practices as outlined with team onboarding andlearning; helpclose skill gaps through development,coachingand team interactions.
Train your team to provideserviceand a shopping experience that meets the needs of the guest.
Demonstrate inclusivity by valuing diverse voices and approaches, being authentic and respectful, and creatingequitableexperiences.
As a key carrier,implementallsecuritytraining and processes.
Build andmaintainrelationshipsinside and outside Target, including district and store leaders and lawenforcement. Ensureour teams and tacticsmaintainTarget’s reputation. Collaborate with retail organization partners to analyze industry trends andenhance securityfor guests and team members.
Participate in legal proceedings as necessary torepresentTarget’s interests.
Addressall store emergencies and compliance needs.
All other dutiesbasedon business needs.

4-year degree or equivalent experience
Meet any state or local licensureand/or other legal requirementsfortheposition
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Strong business acumen
Comfortable dealing withand managing teams throughambiguity
Comfortable managingconflict, leadingand holdingothers accountable
Relatewell with and interactprofessionallywith all levels of the organization
Strong cognitive skills, including problem analysis, decision making, financial and quantitative analysis
Ability to communicate on multiple frequency devices andoperatehandheld scanners, and othertechnologyequipment asdirected
Independently manage workload and prioritize tasks
